New Dual-Core Processor
The Apple Watch Series 1 features a new S1P dual-core processor for improved speed and multitasking than the previous generation Apple Watch. Apps launch in an instant and are always up-to-date so you can carry out daily tasks such as viewing your Activity rings, checking the news, or replying to a message without lag.
Monitor Your Health and Daily Activity
It’s easy to see if you’re on track with Stand, Move, and Exercise rings which are designed to inspire you to move more. The Activity rings display your daily activity, including steps, calories, and how long you’ve been sitting for. If you decide to step up the pace, the Watch will accurately measure movement for a variety of indoor and outdoor workouts, including cycling, running, and elliptical. To help you get a better view of your overall health, a built-in sensor will monitor your heart rate. You can pair the sensor with apps to monitor your specific routines – from a stressful meeting to a simple jog, you’ll get a more complete picture.
iPhone notifications straight to your wrist means you’ll never miss a call, message, or appointment again – a simple tap lets you answer calls, read a message, or check your calendar.
There’s a whole range of apps available for the Apple Watch, including BBC News for breaking news and headlines, OneFootball for live scores and highlights, and Maps for walking directions. Apple Pay lets you make secure payments in shops or within apps right from your wrist so you don’t need to grab your wallet every time.
Designed to look good whether you’re dressed up or dressed down, the Apple Watch has a premium look with rose gold aluminium case and practical sports band. The OLED Retina display with Force Touch is bright and responsive for easily navigating the menus and reading text.
