Castle Long Reserve has been aged and steeped in a treated oak barrel for three weeks. You’ll taste the toasted coconut, roasted almond, brown sugar, two different vanillas (Madagascar vanilla bean and French vanilla), Kentucky bourbon, and American oak.
This year, we’re paying homage to Southern California culture by using a popular surfing term, that’s incredibly relevant to Castle Long Reserve.
For this year’s release, Castle Long Reserve uses imagery that shows another way in which to spend time in the barrel. Before Five Pawns, I was deeply imbedded in the surf industry. This year’s label discreetly uses an early picture taken during my time in the surf industry that embodies Southern California culture.
It’s no secret that I’m getting older but will always prefer the phrase “barrel aged”.
