The DJI Spark is a mini drone that weighs in at less than a single pound. However even as it did with the Mavic professional, the company has managed to squeeze a lot of powerful features into small package.
The Spark has intelligent fight controls like ActiveTrack and TapFly. You can use gesture to control the drone in any direction, Jedi-style, or use a smartphone to control it up to 109 yards away. Battery life clocks till 16 minutes of flight time on single charge, you can charge on the go with a Micro USB.
DJI will be selling associate accessories package that features a charging hub, propeller guards, an additional battery you’ll be able to swap out from the Spark, a remote control, and more.
Spark’s camera is supported by two-axis gimbal and can capture 12-megapixel still photos and 1080p video. A feature called QuickShot lets the DJI drone shoot one minute of footage and edit it down to 10 seconds to share. The Spark has sensors that allow it to dodge obstacles, with the drone’s top speed 31 miles per hour.
For dynamic shots it is possible with simply a smartphone or camcorder. The DJI drone features GPS- and vision-based navigation for indoor or outdoor use of different a variety of flight modes, and a 3D obstacle-detection system.
Gimbal and Integrated Camera
The 2-axis gimbal camera backed by the 1.2/3″ CMOS sensor always allows you to capture up to 12MP still photos and record 1080p30 HD video.
DJI Spark’s 2-axis gimbal and UltraSmooth technology dramatically reduce shaking and rolling shutter effect, keeping shots stable without any loss of detail.
Spark shoots vertical or horizontal panoramas by automatically adjusting its heading and gimbal.
3D vision helps capture photos with a shallow depth of field.
